Inland Water Surveys
Met
Geo Environmental have been providing surveys of inland waterways for over 12
years, including culverts, brooks, rivers (both tidal and non-tidal), canals,
ponds, lakes, reservoirs and settlement lagoons.
Over time we have developed safe systems required to survey of weirs, monks,
sluices, spillways, silt-traps, fish passes and buffer zones. Clients include
angling clubs, fishery owners, fishery management Consultants, British Waterways
Board, Environment Agency, civil engineers, developers and private land owners.
We can provide a comprehensive list of services for dealing with various
water courses. For example, acquiring silt depths and calculating volumes for
de-silting operations. Large deep water reservoirs can be surveyed using an
Ohmex Sonar Mite in conjunction with real-time kinematic GPS. Recent projects
include the survey of reservoir dams, and the survey of major weirs on Yorkshire
rivers, that impede the migration of salmon, sea trout and eels.
Our survey team hold commercially endorsed RYA power boat level one and two
certificates and fishery management qualifications.
If you have a project you would like to discuss with us, then please call one of our survey team on 01132 008900.
