Met Surveys' Answer To Decent Homes Standard Bottleneck
Met Surveys Decent Homes Division has developed a data reporting system that massively accelerates and simplifies the work flow, in order to help contractors meet the Decent Homes Standard (DHS) by its 2010 deadline.
The system is tailored to meet individual contractor's requirements, who, acting on behalf of local authorities and RSLs can stipulate exactly what survey data is to be collected and how the findings will be presented.
Overcoming the process bottleneck, it effectively removes report-writing and paper documentation from the process, allowing clients to access results and monitor progress at any time over a VPN (virtual private network).
Neil Harvey, director of Met Surveys said: Of significant concern to contractors is the shortage of companies with the necessary skills and social housing expertise to carry out the assessments in sufficient time to meet the directive.
With our tailored system, contractors are finding that meeting the deadline - which has been described by some as a 'logistical nightmare' can be achieved efficiently, and with the assurance of accurate results. |
